1/8 Samurai Tamaki Kousaka review

Hmmm its been another week of zero blogging, or twitter or any form of social media and I’ve been itching to write articles during that time. I was able to find some time in between a lot of stuff, and what better way to spend the time than by ogling reviewing an awesome figure.

This version of Tamaki comes from Manaka de Ikuno!! Final Dragon Chronicle -Guilty Requiem-. The game puts the To Heart 2 cast in an RPG-fantasy setting of sorts. I can’t explain past the game, since I haven’t played it, but the character designs are charming enough to make people want to get a figure (even if they haven’t played the game yet) ^^ Read more of this post

UP-AME figure display

As mentioned in the last post, I’ll be sharing with you guys the figures that were up in the figure showcase found in UP-AME.

The figure showcase was made possible by Team Onii-chan  . These guys have been active for several conventions already to provide con-goers with figure eye candy. Recently, they’ve also started having talks on figure maintenance as well. Took pictures of all the figures (which were currently present when I got there) found during UP-Ame. Hope you guys enjoy. UP-Ame Saturday

Since I’m not able to go to AFA11 in Singapore this year, I opted to enjoy my supposed AFA Saturday as much as I can.

UP-AME is a yearly festival which usually occurs around November. I used the word festival instead of convention not only because that’s how its marketed through its communication efforts, but also because of the entire atmosphere of the event. Girls above are from their maid café, or in this case a yurei café. I tried to make the entire day awesome not only by going to UP-Ame, but also by visiting multiple areas that may also interest you guys as well. Read more of this post

Servant Saber Figure Reviews

Yes that’s plural. Decided to review two figures at the same time because I saw these figures and I was reminded of a maid and butler café.

To those who are unfamiliar with the series, no they’re not twins. Those two figures are from Type-Moon’s Fate Series. To the left we have Saber in her bodyguard attire which you’ll see in Fate/Zero, while to the right we have Saber’s maid costume found in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia.

Saber Lily –Disassembled

I’m pretty sure some of you are curious enough to inspect your figures and notice that some portions look like they are removable. I’m sure you’ve seen this boot leg of Saber Lily ~Everdistant Utopia~ lying on my work table from some of my figure reviews already and its about time we get to take a peek of what’s under all that tough exterior of hers ^^

First of all, before any Saber fan sends me hate mail, please do note that this figure is a bootleg figure that costs probably around P1000 (that’s around Y2000) and one of my friends gave this figure to me for free. I’ve been wanting to experiment on this ever since I got it. Read more of this post

Fate/Zero Anime, Ending Sequence Snippets

I rarely talk about anime, but this one deserves a mention and I highly recommend it!

I’ve been waiting for almost 4 years for the prequel to get an anime the moment I saw the story. Been lurking around type-moon forum boards (particularly the Nvqsr forums) for translations of the chapters and I think it was last year only that the entire book was finished! Hurray hurray! September’s Monthly Musings

It’s been what, a month since I last placed anything in the blog? To the readers of this blog, thank you for the continuous support that you have given me. I’m quite surprised that there were people who emailed me and there were still readers despite the inactivity. Been really busy at work and life in general, nothing serious or life-endangering. I’ve also decided to do other things that would either be an investment in time, or I won’t feel that my time was wasted.

Speaking of productive things, I’ve decided to visit two exhibits during the month of September. To be specific, I decided to go out with some friends during my birthday just to take a look at galleries. I’m not exactly talking about the fine arts gallery here though. As for that picture with the classroom, I’ll get to that later =D Read more of this post

MG 1/100 Gundam Qan[T]

It’s nothing short of a miracle that I’ve actually finished this gunpla after 7 months from the day I bought it

I haven’t been able to spend as much time as I can with the blog thanks to work and my lackluster level of motivation. As much as I wanted to post something, I really didn’t feel like posting anything at all because the content might turn out to be irrelevant or uninspired if you will. But anyway, enough of that; lets have a look-see with what this gunpla has in store. Read more of this post

Indestructible 2011

P2D hosted not just one but three tournaments during their event called ‘Indestructible’ held at the Emporio plaza, last August 20, 2011.

As some of the readers here know, I’ve been working with fighting game related events over the past year and I’ve been primarily working with the Blazblue Community. This is the first time I’ve had the chance to work on something exclusively non-Blazblue related so it was quite the experience really being able to meet different people from the usual. Blazblue artbook giveaway

I’m pretty sure most videogaming communities out there have their own form of giveaways. Shirts, mugs, stickers, but I’m sure people hardly find artbooks being used as giveaways XD

This is a thank you gift to the Blazblue community for their continued support and for being able to go to the rannbats which were held last saturday, July 30, 2011. Two of the community members and I planned to make this giveaway many moons ago (like since November or December) and after being delayed for a couple of times, it was finally released. We never announced to anyone about this effort so it really was a surprise to all those who came during the event. Read more of this post
